At UC Berkeley, Vaidehi is using biomonitoring and survey data to conduct a quantitative evaluation of pesticide exposure and access to prenatal care among pregnant farmworkers in California. As a research intern at UCSF Program on Reproductive Health and the Environment (PRHE), Vaidehi worked on systematic reviews assessing the reproductive toxicity of quaternary ammonium compounds, and the association between paraquat dichloride exposure and Parkinson’s Disease. Vaidehi holds a B.A. in Chemistry and a B.S. in Quantitative Economics & Econometrics from the University of South Florida, with minors in Public Health and Women’s & Gender Studies. Outside of school, Vaidehi enjoys gardening, printmaking, and reading South Asian postcolonial literature.
